§ 02 · The Essentials

What dermal treats.

Areas fillers address well:

  • Cheek volume (restoring mid-face projection that flattens with age)
  • Lip enhancement (subtle shape, definition, or fuller proportion)
  • Tear troughs (under-eye hollows that cast shadows (careful candidate screening))
  • Chin + jawline (definition and proportion, balancing a profile)
  • Smile and marionette lines (softening deeper static lines)
§ 02 · How it works

How it works.

HA (hyaluronic acid) is a naturally-occurring molecule in skin that binds water. Modern dermal fillers are cross-linked HA gels, placed precisely, they lift, hydrate, and contour. The filler is gradually broken down by your body over 6–18 months.

Because HA fillers are reversible with hyaluronidase (an enzyme), you're never committed to a result you don't love. Torri always starts conservative, you can always add, you can't always take away.

What it won't do

Dermal fillers don't tighten significant skin laxity or treat dynamic wrinkles from muscle movement (that's anti-wrinkle's job). Very deep static lines often need both. We'll recommend the right combination.

Good fit

This is likely for you if…

  • You're 21+ with good skin quality and realistic expectations
  • You want subtle, proportional enhancement, not dramatic change
  • You've noticed volume loss in cheeks, lips, or under-eyes
  • You want to refine jawline or chin definition
  • You're generally healthy and not currently on blood thinners
Not a fit

This is not for you if…

  • You're pregnant, breastfeeding, or trying to conceive
  • You're allergic to hyaluronic acid, lidocaine, or gram-positive bacterial proteins
  • You have an active skin infection or cold sore in the treatment area
  • You have an autoimmune condition in active flare or uncontrolled diabetes
  • Your concern is significant skin laxity, not volume, Morpheus8 is likely a better fit

No, HA fillers last 6–18 months depending on product and area. Lips tend to move more and metabolize faster; cheek filler typically lasts the longest. Fillers are reversible at any time with hyaluronidase.
Not if we're doing our job. Torri's default is conservative. You should leave looking like a rested, slightly refreshed version of yourself, never distorted. Most people won't be able to put their finger on what's different.
Minimal. Fillers contain lidocaine (numbing), and we apply topical numbing before starting. Most clients describe pressure, not pain. Lips are the most sensitive area.
Sometimes, usually small, usually in the lips. Avoid alcohol, fish oil, ibuprofen, vitamin E, and blood thinners for 48 hours prior. Arnica gel after helps. Most bruising resolves in 3–7 days.
Yes. An enzyme called hyaluronidase dissolves HA filler in 24–48 hours. We reserve this for genuine concerns, usually a two-week check-in is enough to refine.
Most first-time clients need 1–2 syringes. We never overfill in one visit. For more extensive goals (full-face balance), we plan across multiple sessions months apart.
